Tetanus bacteria can't survive if there's oxygen. Blood means there's oxygen.

the vaccine isn't going to prevent you from getting tetnus at this point.

Thanks everyone. I decided to not get the shot. I didn't want that sort of thing passing through my milk- too many unknowns. Plus it's quite possible that I'm up to date on my fax anyway, my cut it not too high risk.

And so far so good. It's healing up nicely and my jaw can still flap away

blood is oxygenated and tetenus cannot survive in the presence of oxygen...hence cannot survive in the presence of blood...
