if your allergic to soy will soy yarn cause a reaction?

It depends on your allergy, do you get a reaction if you were to put soy milk on your skin or just if you were to eat it?

usually food allergies are very different (my understanding is an autoimmune response). However, I would probably use it infrequently, just in case.

i bought some soy/wool blend to make some toddler items but the child i was making them for has soy allergies. i really don't know to what extent so i just opted to use different yarn.

kinda wished i had remembered the soy thing ahead a time tho.

Ask your allergist. My daughter use to have a bad soy allergy that she outgrew, but she couldn't have soy based lotions or sunblock applied on her skin as it made her react.
