Help Me identify this fabric

I bought some diapers online and the seller added diaper liners to my order. I cut them up to use for wipies and I : them. But Since I didn't really buy them, I have no idea what they are made of. I'm thinking some wool or wool blend but I really have no idea. I want to make some more.

I was hoping you diaper making mamas with some experience might recognize this....

Yeah, it does look like hemp fleece. Is the other side a flat knit? Kind of like a sweat shirt?

Do a burn test.

If it's wool or mostly wool, it will burn slowly;self extinguish; smell like burnt hair; what's left will look like a small, brittle, black bead.

If it's cotton, it will burn rapidly, with a yellow flame. It has a continuous burn with an after glow. It will smell like paper and have a brown-tinged end; with light-colored, feathery ash.

I don't have specific information on hemp. My resource is too dated for it. But I'd guess that hemp would react similarly to linen and ramie, both plant fibers. They burn more slowly than cotton; both smell like rope; and the ash maintains the shape of the swatch.

I second hemp fleece, but could be bamboo also.

Yes it is, does that mean it is hemp fleece?

Here's a more up-to-date chart on the burn test:

No, just means it's fleece. How soft is it? Typical cotton bath towel (probably cotton)? Silky, heavenly soft (probably bamboo.) Hang-dries crunchy (probably hemp.) Hemp and cotton may be impossible to tell apart, at least I don't know how to do it.

That looks exactly like the hemp/cotton fleece that I use for family cloth. It doesn't dry crunchy because of the cotton blend. And it is really nice and soft.

I was thinking hemp or bamboo. Looks like a bamboo booster/insert I have from Cottontail Babies

Looks exactly like the hemp cloth stuffing I got with a pocket diaper on etsy.

I would say hemp fleece, too....
