Help me with yeast

DS had a yeast problem on the tip of his penis. I applied a probiotic paste and it quickly got better. Then I ran the dipes through and extra hot wash with 3 rinses the last 2 loads. I have always used TTO. I still see a little bit of yeast sometimes, I use the probiotic paste and it always improves but I think it must be still in the dipes? Advice?

If DS even looks like he's starting to get rashy, I put in a few drops of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) with the wash.

Do you use hot rinses? I find they are more effective than cold. I also dry on hot if I suspect a problem (though it's been a while). If you can, I would boil. Easy with prefolds or fitteds, a little riskier with pockets, but lots of people still do it without trouble. With boiling, you know the little pesks are dead!

Are you pretty convinced it's yeast? My my ds was younger, he would sometimes get read at the tip of his penis, but I think it's just cuz it was rubbing on the diaper... It gradually cleared up on it's own, though I did put ointments on it to protect it in the meantime.

Yeah, yeast looks like little red bumpies, and it is itchy for the kid. Lotrimin AF ointment will clear it up.

I use vinegar in my prewash all the time and we don't have a problem.
