peanut butter

getting my son to take his vitamins in the morning was such a huge power struggle. I felt like there was NO consensual approach to this (not taking it was not an option as it would effect him negatively all day and in turn effect the rest of the house negatively)

many people offered suggestions. nothing worked. I knew I'd never hold my child down to force him to do anything ever again, but I felt like I tried everything and no one was suggesting anything new.

Then, one day I mixed it with a tablespoon old peanut butter, and now he takes it himself, and asks for more lol

moral of story - every time I think I've tried everything my son teaches me there is always something I haven't thought of, and there is always a solution we can all live with

Glad you found something that works for both of you! I know, with my DD, we had to try a few different brands of vitamins before we found one she'd take easily.

i relly wish it had just been a vitamin brand issue - but he had to take *these* vitamins because they are designed for children with ASD... otherwise he'd be eating the flinstone gummies, which he loved lol

We were totally in parenting 'heaven' when DS2 recently 'willingly' (took some convincing but finally he had some) took a medicine.

Luckily not daily portions, but we've had loty of trouble with nescessary abs in the past. To the extent that at second treatment, we regretfully discontinued abs. (so maybe it was prescribed unnescessarily, or mayb e the two small portions he 'had' did some work) He turned out fine, we were lucky
