Oxygen Bleach - Which one?

Hello everyone,

Right now I am using Oxo-brite for my diaper loads b/c it's easier for me to find it locally but I was wondering about Biokleen's counterpart.

Has anyone used both and prefers one to the other and why?

Any other oxygen bleach out there that are worth trying?

Thank you

Interested to See

I love oxygen bleach. I've always bought whatever I can get cheapest in the biggest container though. The tiny little tubs at the grocery store are a rip off. I'll be interested to see if anybody has experience with the brand making a difference.

Not trying to thread jack... but how does one use oxygen bleach? I have been interested in it but I was never sure how to use it or when...

I have used both and prefer the bio-kleen. A while back I had a problem with stinkies while using the oxo-brite and I was pretty sure only a boiling would fix the problem. When my oxo-brite ran out, I got some of the bio-kleen oxygen bleach plus and it got rid of the stinkies with one wash. I haven't had a problem since. The bio-kleen has grape fruit seed extract in and I think that it helps keep the bacteria away. I add 2 tbs per load along with 1 tbs of charlies.

I add it to loads of white wash, and I also soak particularly difficult stains in it. It really only works for organic stains though (so it's great for grass and poop stains, but does nothing for rust stains).

I also find that it will sometimes fade the colour in the area where a bad stain was, so I only use it on whites, very light pastels, washcloths, etc.

I've never had a problem using it, but we don't have hard water, and up until very recently, we washed our diapers in water that was 95 C (over 205 F). It seems that people with hard water and lower washing temperatures have more trouble with build up.

I think that some pocket diaper washing instructions say not to use it. I'm not sure which brands though. I've used oxygen with fuzzy bunz and knicker nappies.
