There was a small study done at a local birth center (wilmington, de - if you want to try googling it) on EPO use regarding how it affected labor starting and continuing, etc. And personally, I didn't like what I read as far as the results. The mw's basically concluded that it wasn't affective much with starting anything labor wise, and actually the majority of women who used it in largest dosages ended up having more complications in labor resulting in higher transfer rates...surprisingly. Probably not a large enough study to say anything really conclusive, but it was enough to convince me not to put much trust in the stuff at all.
