Didymos or other wrap?

I like the looks of the Didymos and other woven wraps. I want something new to try for baby #3 due in July. Do you recommend a didymos? Or a different woven wrap? What is you fav? It is also all very confusing. The sizes are all so varied... as well as the prices. I also get confused looking at the Didymos (and other wraps) for sale on Babywearer, diaperswappers and FSOT. I don't understand some of the abbreviations. What is an Indio? A type of Didy?
Also, I used to like my moby for a newborn, but it doesn't take long for a moby to get too stretchy for a bigger baby.
Hope that wasn't too many questions at once. Answer what you can. Thanks in advance!

Didymos has three main weaves - indio, jacquard and stripes. You can read more about their weaves here:http://www.didymos.de/english/index....fabric%20types

In the Jacquard weave there are different textures, but most of them are finer compared to the other Didymos weaves.

There are lots of brands that are equally good to Didymos and some are more affordable. My favorites are Neobulle, Hoppediz, Girasol and I do also like Didymos, but mostly the linen blend Indios, which are released a few times a year and are really nice and soft, as well as supportive.

Hope that helps!

I recently bought an Ellaroo woven wrap - the colors are vibrant and pretty and it is really comfortable. My only beef with it was that the colors bled quite badly as they aren't prewashed - I washed it alone a few times, and now I have no problems...still looks great too. It cost a little less than other woven wraps I found as well.

I have 2 stripe didys a 5 & 6. I love them! They were a bit stiff when I 1st got them, but they are softening w/ use.

Have a didy & a storchenweige [sp?]

Love them both.
Inka (the storch) is my worker wrap - I take it grocery shopping etc - and don't get bothered when her ends hit the ground when I'm wrapping up.

Simon (didy) is my hiking/loving wrap. I use him for longer wears & when I know DS is going to fall asleep - so when I take him off, he'll snuggle with my superflannely soft wrap.

Is it weird that I call my wraps him&her?

I toke the plunge. I just bought a Didymos light blue/white indio 6 from babywearer!! I am so excited and can't wait to try it with my dd2 to get some practice in before I get too pregnant! Thanks a ton! Especially to Baturay for the awesome link. That definately helped clear up my Didymos terms confusion!!!

Woohoo!!! Glad you found one you liked! I have a blue/white Indio that I've had forever! It'll never leave us, since we are so sentimentally attached to it. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have.
