DD is young, 26 months. About 6 months ago I nightweaned her because she was literally nursing from 11p-7a, non stop. If I tried to move she would wake up and scream for her boobie.
I would say that she's been almost completely weaned for a month now, and not with any prompting from me other than the nightweaning. She nurses literally half a second on each breast right before she settles in for sleep at night, but that's it. My milk is all but gone. If I try to hand express at all, it beads up on the surface, but that's it.
Today, she asked me 3 or 4 times during the day to nurse! I let her try, but it only lasted a couple of minutes.
Do I just let her nurse if she feels like it? She may not ask again, it could have been a fluke. Honestly I was relieved that she weaned, I was going through an awful aversion, so I don't want to encourage her....but I don't want to discourage her either and will take her lead unless I find that I can't handle it at all.
What to do?
