perineal numbness

So I had a really long labor (60 hours) and a long pushing phase (10 hours) and an episiotomy and 4th deg tear, so not normal in the least. But even during labor and such, my perineum and basically that whole area was numb. For the whole labor and everything, it hurt really bad to urinate, like my bladder was spaziming. After i transferred (hr 59...) I never felt the episiotomy even though there is no way the epidural was working yet (I told them to turn it off after 5 mins).

Basically, it has been 3 weeks and I am still numb. It is getting better slowly. At least I have regained bladder control (not peeing every time i hear water running anymore). My lower belly and the front of my thighs are numb to the touch too.

So, is this just due to my strange circumstances or is this normal-ish?

I had this happen with my last birth...I went to a urogynocologist AND gynecological physical therapy (the physical therapy is what helped me the most)...I did get sensation back (but not complete--close, but not all the way) bladder control. Through the working of muscles and biofeedback during therapy I was able to regain sensation in my labia and abdomen...you should look into it!

Oh and it's not "normal"...it most likely means there was damage to nerves or nerves slipped through muscle tissue and are in the wrong place or something--when this happened to me, I labeled it a "birthing injury"...cause it has really affected my WHOLE LIFE to recover from it.
