Well, I've been using these Sea Bands for a few days now and I have to say they are awesome! I can't believe how much they're helping me. I think I heard about them from Caroline - so thank you Caroline! I'd been nauseas all day every day and it was so hard to get anything done. I'm actually functioning now - hooray! I still do have a little bit of nausea, but nothing like before. I wish I'd heard of these things when I was pregnant with my son.
We've finally told just about everyone about our pregnancy now. My husband has told his family and friends at work and I've been telling more people too. So far everyone's been really happy for us, except my father, who thinks I'm too old to have a baby. (I'm 38.) That was not a pleasant phone conversation, but I'm putting it behind me.
Shannon - congratulations on seeing your babies heartbeat! You must be on cloud nine. We're not doing a u/s for a few more months, though we should be able to hear the heartbeat at our next midwife visit. I'm excited for that.
Has anybody been craving things they don't normally eat? I've been craving donuts. Not exactly health food. I actually had a maple bar last night (sure was good!) I remember that I was the same with my last pregnancy. I'm usually pretty healthy with what I eat and I remember really worrying about it last time. The thing that seems to be turning me off the most is lettuce. Ugh. There's no way I could eat lettuce right now. We're having friends over for dinner tonight and I'm making (vegetarian)stroganoff. It sounds good at the moment, hopefully I'll still be able to eat it once I make it!
I can't remember who was wondering about pre-natals, but I've been taking Metagenics, which are the same ones I took last time I was pregnant. They're good, though a bit pricey. 30$ for one month's supply. I had excellent iron levels throughout my entire pregnancy last time and I really credit these vitamins with that.
I hope everyone is doing well
