Hello all, I haven't been on the computer lately, because it made me want to throw up everytime I tried...tv too...but I am braving it to say hello.
Lynsey, i hope all is well, please let us know how you are. I am SURE everything will be fine, I have heard of many women having this as well.
I had my first midwife appointment today and I LOVE her!!! I am soooo happy. She has been a midwife for almost 40 years, and is from Australia. She is such a beautiful person, and we are in exactly the same place, philosophically.
Such a wonderful feeling to know you can trust the person you are birthing with. She told me to increase my vitamin B6 for the nausea, which I did last pregnancy too and it really helped. For constipation you can always take Slippery elm, which is safe in pregnancy, and helps to lubricate your intestines, if you will. Otherwise water, roughage, and drinking warm lemon water will help too.
For the list, I am due Sept. 24 and am planning a homebirth. Oh, this will be #2.
I too had a fast labor the first time, 6 hours, very very intense, I wonder what #2 will be like...I don't know how I will handle even faster, even more intense. I think I really need to concentrate on learning to focus and calm breathing during this labor. But man that transition was a bugger. :LOL
Sarah, when I was in Nepal I went on a long bus ride, I get car sick so easily, so someone told me to chew on some raw ginger, which I did. Big mistake, it made me so sick, and to this day ginger nauseates me. Funny how what can cure you, can make you ill if abused...
