Anyone know how much I could expect to spend to have someone quilt a full-bedsize quilt? I know someone who has a machine but before I approach her, I thought it would be helpful to have a "ballpark" figure in mind. Thanks!

I ran a longarm business out of my house, until the economy tanked and I sold, but price is highly variable.
The best prices I've found are by using non-local mail order quilters.
I can't vouch for anyone in particular as I've not been able to bring myself to have any of my tops quilted. I'm still mourning my machine.
I would have done a full sized quilt with a standard pantograph pattern for around 70-80 bucks. I was UBER cheap though.
I do know that prices are falling and there are deals to be had. Longarm Quilters are not doing so hot right now.
Your best bet is just to call the person up and ask about their pricing tier. Some charge by the sq inch, and some charge by the bedsize. It really just varies.
If you want custom quilting, thread changes and varying border designs the price goes up further.
Good luck!

I had a couple done by a woman who works out of her home. I'd be happy to pm you her info if you'd like. She charges according to the quilt size and the style of quit pattern you want the machine to do (some take more time and thread than others). PM me if you want her info (I'll never remember to check this thread again, so posting on here won't tell me, lol!). She'll tell you up front exactly how much she wants once you tell her thread preferences, etc. I'm trying to remember what she charged me for my king and for the two twins I had done, but it has been a couple of years ago.
