Help needed with Nursing tops

Thread Starter
I live in the UK and nursing tops are very hard to find

I am quite a good sewer and was wondering about making my own or converting an ordinary top but I cant find a pattern anywhere either!

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/patterns that they had used.

Thanks Mamas.

Elizabeth lee deisgn has variety of nursing patterns. You have to use your imagination as some of the pictures in the catalog are lets say a little bit country. I believe her web site is elizabethlee.com

I got started with the Elizabeth Lee Designs patterns, too. They are SUPER easy to alter, so if you don't care for the simple styles, you can always change stuff, or use pattern pieces to help you convert commercial patterns. Once you get the hang of the basics, it gets pretty easy to convert just about any pattern to a nursing version. It just takes a bit of research & ingenuity - there are a lot of nursing-opening options to choose from, and each of those are pretty design-specific. Look at a lot of pictures, order a couple patterns, and you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.

We had a thread last month about converting regular clothes to nursing wear. There were lots of gret ideas Try a search for nursing on this board and see if you can find it.
