Anyone own an Elna Serger?

I am considering buying a used Elna Prolock 5DC. I don't know much about Elna and am having trouble finding info about this machine. Does anyone have any first hand experience with an Elna, and specifically this model?
Oh, and hi, I'm new here Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Thanks!

I had an Elna 634. I sold it on e-bay :LOL It was a good little serger, a little bit hard to turn corners on though. I never got used to it. It also couldn't serge more than 2 layers of hemp. I got a Pfaff 4752 and LOVE it!! It breezes through 3-4 layers of hemp fleece, and turns corners as easily as my sewing machine You can buy one new for around 699, I got mine used for 450.00 and it's probably the best 450.00 I've spent

Do you suppose the problem with the layers of hemp is an overall Elna issue or just the specific model you had? Or have you heard other Elna users complain of this too?
Thanks so much!

Well, I haven't really used their other sergers, but when I took my hemp in to the dealer to try out diff. machines before buying my Pfaff NONE of their machines could do 3 layers of hemp. If you can afford it, I'd definitely suggest a Pfaff, I am hooked :LOL My pfaff even does hemp better than a babylock Imagine(their most expensive serger)
