recycled bra hook and eye for diaper closures?

i'm really into using recycled fabrics for diapers, and i was toying with the idea of making a diaper with hook and eye closures from old bras. anyone try this? anyone with more diaper experience than me think this may be a bad idea? i'm thinking my wiggly 9 month old might not hold still long enough for the little hooks, but i'm also thinking if it works, it'd be an awesome way to use recycled closures.

thoughts?

i dont think it would work with bellys they go it and come out causing it to undo. add wiggle factor, catching on things, and a pia to wash i wouldnt.

Huh, that's a neat idea, although I don't know how practical it might be. It does seem that too much wiggling around would cause them to unhook spontaneously.

I'd say it's worth a shot, though. It would make a fun conversation piece if nothing else!

I'm afraid those hooks will snag everything in the wash. I have a hard enough time hooking my own bra....and I am good at standing still. LOL

Neat idea! I'm willing to bet that its success or failure will depend on how much/type of elastic you have in the waist (so that the diaper can move naturally but keep tension on the hooks). Would it work better with the closure in the back?
