At what week gestationally would you feel comfortable with HB? How about your MW? - Page 2

My midwife was fine with anything after 36 weeks and so was I. But I was certain of my dates, though.

I think in TX the law says only between 36 and 42 weeks, so that is what my midwife does.

While I will have a homebirth any time after 36 weeks, I will be much more comfortable after 38. I just wish our midwives could go over 42 weeks though.

When I thought I was in labor at 36 weeks and a few days my MW felt comfy delivering me. MY personal cut off would be 36 weeks, 35 maybe...

Have you ever tried the Brewer diet? The reason I ask is because my son was 10 days before my due date, my daughter was 35 weeks, I had a set of twins at 33 weeks, and then I did the Brewer diet and had another set of twins at 38+ weeks! I know it's totally not the point of your post, but I wanted to share.

For me it would be 36 weeks. I think the MWs where I am want 37 weeks.

36 weeks, but cpms here have it as 37 weeks in their regs. lucky for me my midwife is a cnm who does hb's and by law is able to write her own protocols. 36 weeks is her min. cutoff.

I wouldn't be comfortable until 37 weeks personally. My MW is also bound by the 37 week rule here in FL. DS2 was born at 40w 1d weighing only 6 lbs 4 ozs so I'd be scared to see what a 36 weeker of mine would weight. It sounds like it is a liability issue for your MW and she can land herself in a world of trouble if the OB were to report her. I can see where she is coming from and I also see your side too.
