Beading party for DD?

A few months ago DD and I went to a mother/daughter beading event for girls scouts. When we walked in we were asked to pick out a bag with everything we would need to make a bracelet. I don't remember how many choices of bags/bracelets we had but there were a lot. After that night, DD and I were talking about her party for her 8th birthday and she asked if we could have a beading party like girl scouts. I told her yes and now I don't know how to do it. I did some beading once upon a time (earrings) so I'm sure I can manage the actual beading part but I have no creativity when it comes to putting together the beads. Should I just go to the local bead store, try my luck at my local craft store or a mixture of the two. I cannot afford to have the actual party at the store ($12/girl and she is inviting about 10 girls). So, any ideas of suggestions? TIA!

I would look for bead kits. The kits themselves may be a bit pricey, but you could probably reproduce them yourself just by looking at the beads that are included and buying them separately.

A beading party sounds like a lot of fun!
