Boost Mobile commercial

Anyone seen it? It's this man being carried around in a Bjornish thing by his dad in a store (I believe the dairy aisle, to boot) talking about the phone service. Then at the end he goes, "I also like breastmilk.

Promoting extended bf (I generally call it full-term bf, but at that age I'd say it counts as extended) AND babywearing!

I know that's not the intention (the ebf part at least) but it still made me giggle.

just watched it for the first time today and thought to myself, "someone is going to start a thread about this on MDC."

I find it weird... but sort of cute at the same time.... but definatly weird. Weird because the guy is sort of scuzzy looking.

Haven't seen it but from the description sounds like a sexualization of bfeeding which is NOT what we need.

Probably won't catch it as I don't watch TV much at all.

:

I won't see it either because I don't watch tv. We don't get commercials over here anyway just PSAs.

um I thought it was disturbing and gross. It was meant in a sexual way, based on the way the guy said it and previous Boost Mobile commercials. It wasn't extended breastfeeding- he says he's a man who wants to act like a baby. Or something along those lines.

oh, I just thought it was a man "acting" like a baby, not wanting to be one or it being sexual. I just thought it was funny bc it was "promoting" extended bf and babywearing (I know it wasn't really, but it still tickled me pink).

I saw it in the middle of the night last night when I was nursing DD and I almost fell out of my chair!

Here it is

This is how I took it.

Yeah, that.

It's not the worst thing in the world, but it came across as sexual to me.

Well, at least they are labeling treating a grown man like a baby, "wrong"

I thought it was funny/creepy.

I don't think the breastfeeding comment was pro-breastfeeding at all, I thought it was a nod toward fetishism. The carrying of the man-baby as well.

Just ick.

That was just strange...

Commercials these days are getting stranger and stranger!

I don't like any of the Boost Mobile commercials. They tend to gross me out--arm pit hair? Ew!

I don't think it really helps the cause at all.

It just made me

creepy

I saw it last night and found it creepy. I really dislike commercials that have adult dialogue coming out of a baby's mouth, and I also dislike the reverse.

To be honest I thought the bf'ing reference was neither here nor there in regards to this forum per se-it simply made the commerical even creepier.

I am all for pushing boundaries, and I have no problem with most of the commercial. However, the comment "I also happen to like breast milk" made me sick. It seemed perverted to me. I am extremely disappointed in Sprint, the parent company of Boost.

Yeah I didn't know whether to laugh or be angry or creeped out or what. I think they are just trying to catch your attention, and they do. I've only seen it the one time even though I have the TV on quite a bit, maybe they pulled it?
