18 dpo - no period, neg test, high temps

In other words, WTF?

We're into year two of trying. When I was young and naive I'd say I was pregnant. I've never gotten to day 18 without a period, my luteal phase is always 14 days. Always.

BUT I have no symptoms. I've never gotten to day 18, not be pregnant and have no symptoms. When I get pregnant symptoms hit between day 9 and 11. Like clockwork. So far, nothing. I broke out around day 13 and figured, yep, here comes the period. But no. Temps are high. Face has cleared up.

This is very weird.

I will be calling my RE tomorrow morning but for now....Any ideas?

are you for sure that you od??? If temps are up and you have confirmed O I would definitely get a blood test.

Yep, I know when I O'd. I imagine they'll do a blood test tomorrow either way. This is just driving me crazy today.

Definitely a blood test is in order, if you're clear about when you o'ed and are 18 days past that with high temps! What kind of HPTs are you using?

Some people don't get a + HPT until really late, or never. The blood test will help you understand. I would definitely get it, since this is so different for you from normal. Good luck!

I used a first response, early test. Same I've always used. I usually get a BFP on day 14.

Is anything different for you in the last month? Like did you get ill, or make a huge change in diet - anything like that?

Well I just called my dr. It does NOT help my current mental state to have the nurse tell me "congrats!" before I've even had the d@mn blood test.

Now I just have to drive all the way there - 90 minutes with a toddler!

Oh and now we're at 19dpo, high temp, another negative test.:

Wow - odd! Perhaps it's LUFS... (I'm sure you know this already, but there are rare occasions where the egg is not released from the corpus luteum, leaving an unruptured follicle that continues to secrete progesterone for...well...it can be a loooong time...)

At any rate, hopefully today ought to set your mind at ease.

That's pretty insensitive of the nurse to jump the gun like that. That said.......I hope you get a positive on the blood test. Good luck!

According to my trusty copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" you're almost certainly preg! Apparently some people don't get a + HPT for quite some time, and it can be different at different times within the same person. Hope the blood test turned out positive! Any news yet?

If it helps any, I did not get a +HPT until quite late with my son - I was nearly seven weeks pregnant before I stopped getting BFNs. Sometimes it does just take a while to turn.

hay i just wanted to let you know, your not alone! i had bleeding at 6DPO-11DPO, still had high temps, up unitl today. today would be 19DPO for me to, but my temp finally fell this morning, so i guess i have to count my bleeding as AF, and if that is the case, now im on CD 13 of a new cycle. (hay at least its almost O i hope! )

good luck, i hope you go the other way than i did. sometimes, it just takes longer for HcG to rise, dont put too much thought into it, you wont have symptoms, if you dont have the hormones, KWIM?

I know this was a long time ago but did you end up being pregnant? Im 18dpo with still high bbtemps but bfn that is making me nuts i had alot of symptoms and it doesnt help my hubby amd everyone around me telling me im preggo iv had a mysterious sickness the last twovweeks extreme nausea diahrrea extreme fatigue.i cried at the end of watching Elf with will ferrell i mean come on and my acne has been flared for 2 weeks usually i only break out wen i get my period and it settles. I spotted at 7dpo for a few days but temps stayed high

Ugghhh now 20 dpo and ive decided to wait to take another test tired of being disapointed.symptoms have calmed except food....no food sounds good to me i wanted sloppy joes last night but as soon as i started making em heck no my hub ate them all.good news my temps are up still tho !
