alternative to bone broth?

I know bone broth is highly recommended for gut healing but I'm just not home enough to boil the broth as long as needed to extract all the bone minerals. Most of my family also are not soup eaters although I know I could add creatively to other foods but I'm wondering if there is another option?

Organic chicken or beef broth with no additives?
Mineral supplement?
Something else?

Thank you!

Wendy, bone broth is really easy to make in a pressure cooker if you have one. I make mine in about 90 minutes and it gels really nicely overnight. The bones are literally falling apart when I strain it. I know some people are against using pressure cookers, but I can't make a better bone broth any other way, plus I don't have the time to do it any other way.

Isn't there more to it than just the minerals? I thought the gelatin stuff was supposed to help the intestinal lining. I don't think organic broth does anything (besides taste good). I'm pretty sure they're not simmering theirs for 24 hours!

Are you home enough on a weekend to make a big batch and freeze it? If your family isn't big on soup (though I haven't met a kid who doesn't like mini meatball soup) you can use it to cook your rice in. And gravy... yummy gravy. I probably have more confidence in my slow cooker than I should, but that's what I use for my chicken broth, and I'm comfortable leaving it on when I'm not there or sleeping. Some people use their oven.

You can take l-glutamine capsules to get the gut-healing effects, though you won't get the minerals you would from the bones.

Are you comfortable leaving a slow cooker on while you're away? Many folks do it that way. Stock can be reduced down to make a sort-of gravy to go over meat (add some herbs/spices, or mix in with, say, roasted veggies--really yummy), or cook grains in it.

If push came to shove, you could do a mineral supp and add gelatin to various foods (a good brand).

This is the brand, I haven't purchased for a while so I haven't compared prices.

Yep I use my crockpot and cook it for a day or even two!

If I don't have any I put powdered gelatin in things (not the jello kind ).

A crockpot! I didn't even think of that and I have one I just never use it.

Thank you for that reminder and for the other ideas too!
