help w/ this project?

Greetings.

A friend forwarded this project which my dd is just about finished with. http://www.livingcrafts.com/page/Free_Patterns At the end, the directions are to "gently remove the weaving from the loom." : I have no idea how to do this. The only kind of weaving she or I have done before is using a square weaving loom which you can just use a crochet hook & loop it through until the end.

So, how do I remove weaving from a rectangular weaving loom?

TIA,
Sus

bump?

anyone know how to get this weaving off? It doesn't look a whole lot different from other looms I've seen.

Thanks,
Sus

Whoops - I's sorry. It's the "treasure purse," the 2nd one down. You click on the title to the right of the picture to find the directions. It asks you to enter your email address to be added to their email list. I did this a week or two ago & have yet to receive an email so it doesn't seem like they send them out often.

Thanks if you look at it!

It looks like you just pop them off the cardboard tabs. The next instruction says to spread the weaving out to the ends of the loops, so I don't think you do a chain stitch with them or anything (like you would for pot holders).

I agree, notjustmamie. When you weave a pot holder, you are actually weaving over 2, under2, and the weaving can fall apart if you don't crochet the edges, but here you are weaving over 1 under 1 and the weaving shouldn't come undone.
Have fun doing the project with your little one.
Melinda
