I am so glad it is getting a lot of attention. While I don't trust the CDC I am glad to hear they are investigating. They can't start admitting things if they don't actually investigate. I hope that this vaccine is taken off the market very soon.

The story is very sad. I hope that the CDC really looks into this and figures out if it was related to the vaccine. I just want to cry for Jenny and her life that ended so terribly. Even the MDs are saying this was a vaccine reaction which is surprising.

Extremely sad story. And this response angered me:

But what if doctors wouldn't think to link the onset of ALS with a vaccination? I press him. "Reports in the media, such as the one you're doing, are a good trigger to get doctors to file reports," he responds. In fact, largely because of media attention, reports of adverse events for Gardasil are about five times as high as the overall average for any vaccine, he adds. So I suppose he's hoping that if there are other girls out there who developed severe physical disabilities after receiving Gardasil, they'll soon be entered into the VAERS database.
The CDC should not rely on the media and the heightened awareness it brings to trigger doctors to file reports. THEY should be triggering it. The VAERS database is a joke. The data is a wreck. Many parents (and probably some doctors) don't even know it exists. Why can we genetically engineer vaccines but can't create a good database and network to track adverse events properly? Getting VAERS working correctly is the first of a series of many long steps that need to be completed to win back trust in the vaccination program. If the CDC doesn't fix VAERS, what faith can I possibly have that they are trying to track, understand and investigate adverse events scientifically? The way it works now, they are lucky to find serious adverse events let alone subtle correlations that likely need to be studied in order to make vaccines safer.

Don't forget this:

If two dozen once-jittery mice at UBC are telling the truth postmortem, the world's governments may soon be facing one hell of a lawsuit. New, so-far-unpublished research led by Vancouver neuroscientist Chris Shaw shows a link between the aluminum hydroxide used in vaccines, and symptoms associated with Parkinson's, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease), and Alzheimer's.
Here's the abstract of the study:

So the study did get published.

But I'm sure that once they come up with a new adjuvant or a new form of vaccine (inadequately safety tested, of course) then the news about aluminum being toxic crap will be all over the place.
