help with moby wrap

Thread Starter
I have a two week old and a moby. I thought I would love the moby. But I end up crying every time I try to use it. I get so frustrated putting it in-gets all twisted. Then I am terrified to have baby in it. I am afraid it will untie or she will slip out. I also feel like she is squished in it. i can't imagine her liking it.

Can Anyone give hope/advise?

do you go to a playgroup where there might be someone more comfortable with it who could show you how to use it? that might be best. otherwise, I often find it quite helpful to watch some youtube videos.

Moby was my first wrap and I found the learning curve to be quite steep. It was so extremely long and got twisted so easily. It took a couple weeks of trying before I was able to do it without getting it twisted. Watching the you tube videos should help.

Do you have the manual that came with it? The instructions are really helpful in it.

But, one tip is to take your time. Don't try to be quick right now...instead work at putting it on correctly. Take your time to spread out the fabric out on your back while tying it on and also tie it on evenly. And to finish it off, do a full knot.

I guess basically just slow down, take your time and practice some more. You'll soon get the hang of it.

This video is really really helpful. If you notice how she only grabs the top part of the material when bringing it over her shoulder, that helps eliminate the twists that can occur

I just stared at the instructions and practiced in the mirror a lot. Don't worry, pretty soon you'll be a pro.
