lol... ok... well, I'm finally digging into Twilight
: (only a few chapters in), and so far so good. It *is* extremely light and easy to read. I'm glad for that, since my tired mommy brain can't handle anything much more complex! And when I can't read it, I find myself thinking
about it... "what's going to happen next?"

I am midway thru New Moon (for the, um, 4th or 5th time (since November
)) now and it is still just as good. It is actually making me want to re-read a bunch of other books, V.C. Andrews among them. I always read so fast that books play like movies in my head. Problem with that is movies fade in memory over time.
... "barely born" in the 80's?? I *AM* old! Obviously have dated myself by referring to VC Andrews in the 80's (Flowers in the Attic
, etc. -- p.s. I don't remember them being "thoroughly nasty!").
whatever, we're only as young as we believe we are, right?
Someone had mentioned not really liking the actress who plays Bella. I got the same vibe, she's so mouth-agape all the time. HOWEVER... I also was annoyed in the same way (initially) by Mary Louise Parker in Fried Green Tomatoes
, and look how far she's come! I really enjoy her acting now, and follow her religiously in Weeds
. So, what I'm saying, I guess, is that maybe
Kristen whats-her-name is just playing the grumpy teenager role and perhaps, just perhaps, with practice, she'll develop better acting abilities?? Just a thought...
