That's why I'm going by myself before taking DD--she is the princess of endless chatter. I did tell hubby that I didn't mind going myself (even though technically I won't be by myself since I'm taking a twin) but he's a persistant man. I did remind him that with the big kids at school, one twin with grandma, and the other with me, he'd have the whole house free to himself. That may be enough to sway him.

P.S. I didn't see the Oprah interview. How was it?
Thanks for the b-day wishes.

We need to put together a list of pre-twilight interviews. I know we're not supposed to talk celebrity gossip, I just want to know if there are interviews that I'm missing...

Rpattz is going to be on Ellen on Nov 20th.

Anyone else know of interviews this week?

a line up of cast television appearances

http://www.gossipcop.com/updated-new...-running-list/

and tinybutterfly-Stephenie was good. She mentioned how she was so burned out as a SAHM and needed an outlet and had the meadow dream one night and boom! started writing and came up with Twilight.

I liked watching her..I can see there is a normal woman there who did something extraordinary.

I'll have to look around Oprah's website. Have never been there...but for this I'll go check it out!

I have my ticket! It's for the 11:00 a.m. showing on Friday!

I couldn't stand it, I bought my ticket for the premiere yesterday. I originally planned to wait and see it a few days later, but decided to go ahead and see it opening night. It is showing at one of those dinner theaters that are 18 and up, so hopefully that will cut down on some of the noise. I am super excited.!!!!

Here's an adorkable Rob interview for your enjoyment.

Something else you may be interested in thefandomgivesback raising money for childhood cancer (Alex's Lemonade Stand). This was started by a group of Twilight fanfiction writers. Today was the first day of the auction and they have already raised over $12,000. Pretty amazing, lot's of great Twilight related items to bid on, or you can just make a donation.

SORRY -- I don't know how to do the Spoiler thingies, but I need to talk about something I've seen from the movie in teasers, etc. so if you don't want to talk about that and still can look away Also, please know that I would probably look away. Other than the initial trailer I have tried to not watch any trailers. I know the story already and I want to experience it as new as I can in the theater, you know? But if you don't mind a little spoiler please read on.

OK they show Edward and Bella kissing in Italy. Kissing on the mouth. I am very in favor of kissing on the mouth, but I LOVE how in the book, it is made very clear that they never kiss on the mouth until they are home in her bedroom!!!! How thankful she is that that doesn't happen because she isn't sure that she can heal from that again, and how he doesn't because either the Volturi are lurking or she is so hesitant when he touches her that he doesn't know if she can forgive his departure and still love him. This was done really well in the book for me. I'm really trying to not obsess about the book and try and just appreciate the movie, but I'm a little sad. I know that they have to deviate some, but this was not a little deal for me. I thought that it was huge.

Does this bother anyone else? I'm trying to let it go and appreciate the movie for what it will be. Really, I'm still so excited that I could squeal like a teenager, but I have such high expectations. And I REALLY want it to follow the book! When they deviate a lot from books, I get so angry. Why did you call the movie the same thing, just give it a new name if you're going to give it a new plot. Not that I thought this of Twilight, I thought that it followed closely enough, and I thought that Catherine Hardwicke, while not making the best movie technically, gave the movie the passionate drive of the book.
Sigh, I do love this saga.
Nah, it doesn't really bother me. It bothered me more in Twilight when they had her in sexy nightwear instead of tattered sweats. But even that didn't bother me too much. I expect some ramping up of the physical stuff for the movie. Now, huge plot variations (i.e. adding whole scenes that didn't exist in the book) - that bothers me.
I'm reserving judgement until I see the movie. I know things will be changed and I'm okay with that. And I kind of expected them to ramp up the physical side of things. I just hope not too much! I'm just so excited that these are being made into films and we get to see these characters on screen that I'm okay with little changes here and there. It's like the Harry Potter films. You have to take them for what they're worth and realize the books and the films ARE going to be different!! There's just no way around it. I can't wait!!! I just hope they left the "cheese" factor out of New Moon..Twilight had too many cheesy elements for me..I still love it though!

Answer to Spoiler Question

SPOILER
My opinion is that in the movie we don't always know what Bella is thinking (like we do in the books). So if they had her run to him and just stand there looking all awkward....that may not be so "cinema friendly" ykwim?

Spoiler question #2

************************************************** ************************************************** ****************
Okay, so the pp'd question got me thinking about another scene in NM's previews.
When Bella is in the meadow and crosses paths with Laurent...the preview shows that Jacob leaps of the porch and shapes while jumping over Bella's head.....that is not at all how that goes down in the book. FTR: the wolves lurk out of the forest edge (already transformed) and chase Laurent into the woods.

Any thoughts??

They put 2 scenes together. When she's with Laurent, the wolves come out and she runs into the trees. When Jacob comes off the porch and leaps over her, it's when she's with the other wolves and Paul transforms in front of her.

Here is where Jacob does the leap. I can't find the one with Laurent and the wolves, but she's wearing different clothes.

Thank you for your comments. Just talking about New Moon gets me soooo excited!!!!!!!! I organized a fundraiser for my son's preschool, but that was Saturday so my reward is my Thursday night double header!!!! When I saw Twilight the first time, I hadn't read any of the books so that I was just able to lose myself in the story as presented. I will really try and do that for New Moon because I think that is the only fair way to judge a movie, but it will be hard!!!!!!

Faithful One -- I appreciate your point about having to show things differently when we don't know all of Bella's thoughts.

The theater that I am going to for New Moon currently has 11 midnight showings sold out. They are staggered a little. Mine starts at 12:12. I hope that we don't hear screams from other theaters about things that we haven't seen yet! The in the moment screams will be enough! I am very excited! Can you tell?

When that first trailer came it out it pissed me off! I couldn't believe they changed it so much. I was almost screaming at the TV. But as more and more came out, I realized that too. I really wonder why they would splice two different scenes together to look like one scene, just for a trailer. Stupid stupid, if you ask me. You'd think they would have done a more accurate job on the trailers when they'd have to know that there would be so many fans breaking them down, movement by movement.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! Is it Thursday night yet???
