twilight - Page 31

I've been three times. Once with my brother, once with dh and once with my brother and my mom. I want to go at least one more time by myself.

Hoping it will come out on DVD in the spring. Am guessing it will since Eclipse comes out in theaters in June.

I've seen it three times too. Once with friends from my homeschool group at the midnight showing, once with DH and once with my sister and her best friend. I'll see it probably one more time while I'm down visiting family here, my SIL wants to see it when I get back home and I'd like to see it once by myself. I just love it more every time I see it!!! It's so good!!

I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but there is a free Twilight trivia game for the iPhone. It is pretty entertaining with some pretty hard questions. But the questions are about the movie not the book so that sometimes makes it harder for me.

So I FINALLY (according my lil sis) saw "New Moon". It was pretty good. It's been long enough since I read the book that I could watch it without getting all "grrrrr". Course, I also say it with a male friend who never saw the first movie, so I was going a lot of explaining.

I didn't think the wigs or contacts were all THAT bad. The contacts struck me more as a harder differentiation between the Cullens and the Voltori.

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!
What was with Carlisle and the "no soul" thing? I thought the book portrayed him as not sharing Edward's belief on the matter?

And, should one of us happen to start contracting or anything, then the other will keep track and then make sure the "laboring party" gets to their midwife/OB on time (with a slight detour to pick up the DH!). We have the plan!

It's tradition, anyway-- we went to see Twilight together in the theater, and then (to find out what all we missed because of the screaming fangirls) we had a "grown up" viewing after the DVD came out, and we found out we were both pregnant just a few weeks later. So, now we'll continue tradition with New Moon.
When was your baby born? Did you ever end up seeing New Moon with your girlfriend? I laughed so hard thinking about your "laboring party"!

Ugh, I had a huge post about Breaking Dawn and my DD hit my keyboard and closed my browser. I'll have to come back later.

But has anyone watched the Rifftrax of Twilight? I loved it, it was hilarious. I think most Twilight fans would like it if you are someone who can laugh at yourself a little bit.

So I was rewatching Enterprise season 1 and on disk 6 I think there is a an episode where a vulcan ambassador needs transport on the Enterprise.. and some Mazar? aliens are trying to get her.. I SWEAR one of the Mazar (not a speaking character) looks JUST like Jacob's actor only with some alien "accoutrements" on the sides of his face..

Anyone know if that actor was ever on a Star Trek episode?

Just read Twilight again. Wow this book just gets to me. It's so funny to me how so many can't stand it and then there are those of us that get it and get it and get it. Aaaahh.

I loved Twilight because how Bella and Edward get to know eachother. But New Moon to me was my favorite.

I finally got DH to watch Twilight (well, the rifftrax version.) He thought it was really funny. And he commented about all the sexual tension between Edward and Bella, he thought it was pretty well done. He kept asking when the one kid would change into a wolf. I guess he better watch New Moon!

I could recall what's it's like to be young and so drawn to another person.

I guess I'll have to watch it again when one of my kids starts dating someone and I don't approve. ;-)
I totally agree! I didn't really "get it" with the book, although I enjoyed the storytelling. It is the film chemistry that I can't stop thinking about...I'm looking foward to seeing the next in the series!

I'm in my 30s so I came to know the Twilight series through the films only. I've seen all three installments, and I like them.

...so much so that I am thinking of now reading the books.

But can the Twilight fans and experts tell me why are the Edward and Jacob characters so tied to Bella?

I can't figure that one out. What makes her so special and why are they so strongly bonded to her/protective of her?

I know that Edward was intrigued because he couldn't read her thoughts and her smell was overwhelming to him, but what is it about Bella that makes the two of them want her so much? Soul-mates?

Just curious...

Bella's blood sang to Edward.. it made her difficult for him to resist in the beginning.. but then he began to enjoy the pull of her.. Jacob was Bella's friend from childhood.. he developed a crush on her and then Bella started needing him for emotional support while Jacob was trying his best to keep her from the vampire world/pull her out of her depression..

Like many adolescents, Bella has low self esteem. She perceives herself as being plain but in reality, as Edward points out, she is very attractive. Edward has never, ever had any romantic for anyone until he meets Bella. And at the same time he is attracted to the smell of her blood.
