Very nice! What are you going to knit it up into?

Pretty! What did you spin it with? Where did you get your fiber?

Nice. Very evenly spun and you'll get drafting down in no time

I too am curious what you spun them on? A spinning wheel? Or what kind of spindle? (specifically. lol. I'm looking for a spindle that can handle such long lengths.)

it's a dowel with a couple whiskey stoppers shoved on it. I really didn't want to spend much since i wasn't sure i was going to like spinning.

i got the fiber from http://www.missbabs.com/store.php?cat=69
she also does ebay auctions.

I really hope my tediously stopping and staring and general fumbling was driving my husband mad, at one point he actually told me he could do it better even tho he's never tried. i had to save roving for him so he could give it a go and show me up

thanks everyone.

Magelet, IME I can get up to 2oz of yarn on a basic bog-standard drop spindle-certainly well over 1oz. How are you winding on? I find that makes a difference to how full I can get it.
