sacroiliac joint pain during labor

Has anyone experienced sacroiliac joint pain during labor? Not just back labor - I had that, too - but it was dulled by the stabbing sharp pains in my goofy si joint and all the places it radiates when it catches. I didn't even feel my baby come out because my back hurt so bad. I was hoping to avoid it this time, but my si joint is at it again and BAD - and I'm 6 months today. I am hoping to find some help. I want a homebirth again, but seriously, I nearly passed out from the back pain. All help will be much appreciated!

I had SI joint pain starting at 11 weeks with my third, and with fairly frequent chiropractic care was able to keep it under control, to the point where it actually felt best during the third tri. I didn't have any issues with it at all during labor. I would HIGHLY recommend chiro if you haven't already!

You're scaring me. My SI joint has been out of whack since about month 2. I'm 39 weeks today. I've seen my chiropractor multiple times, but he hasn't been able to fix it. He suggested cranio-sacral therapy, but it didn't help me much. Both or either option may help you, though. Good luck!

I am going to a chiro twice a week and getting deep tissue massage once a week. I have ordered a si joint belt. I've been doing stretches - warm baths then ice - but it is getting worse. Some days I don't know whether to baby it or stretch it out or just what. Last night I couldn't lay on either side because the pain just radiated through my hips and lower back - it was soooooooooo much like the day I delivered, except no precious baby moving down making me sweat bullets... BUT - I have not given up - and I will share if I find something that works. I see my MW next Monday - maybe she has some ideas. If anyone else has any ideas - please submit. I'm willing to try a catfish charlie and dried worm rub at this point

Yes - I asked it under "I'm pregenant" because I didn't know which one to use and I am desparate for help. Sorry if I confused you - it wasn't my intention. - Did the Pregnancy Without Pounds really help you - if so, do you think 6 months is too late to start?
