When and what to take out next?

hi ladies!

I've been off dairy for almost 2 1/2 months, and off soy for about 1 1/2 months if I remember correctly....until yesterday. Grrrrr. DH accidently put soy milk into pancakes rather than rice milk.

I also took eggs out on the 13th, so about 10 days ago.

I was trying to decide what to take out next, either gluten or corn, but now that I had soy accidently, I feel like I should wait a little longer so I can tell which action DD is responding to, if any.

Should I wait another week before changing anything else? just a few days?

And which would be better to take out-gluten or corn? I know gluten is the #2 allergen, and honestly it would be easier, but when we were having trouble with DS, he seemed to do better on the ready-to-feed alimentum rather than the powder, and the difference bewteen the 2 is corn.

Grrrr....I just wish we would see a response so I can just KNOW what the problem is rather than still trying to figure it out.

Thanks!

The real test in an elimination diet is the re-introduction, or trialing of a food. Could you just pull both gluten and corn at once, in hopes of getting to baseline faster?

And cause I have to ask, have you seen the detox stuff we've been talking about in here? Once you get to a symptom level you can live with, it's all about adding healing nutrients instead of cutting out problem foods.

I agree with WhoMe. Pull them both, then, when you get to baseline, re-introduce them one at a time.
