Another wool soaker question

I bought some CUTE soakers on llamajama.com But...now I am confused about how many times I need to lanolize before they are good to go. Also....one of the soakers is leaking dye still. Should I make sure that it doesn't before I use them? And...do you have to lanolize everytime you wash (which I heard is every couple weeks as long as they aren't stinky and pooped on).

Thanks,
Patty

Those soakers at llamajama are sooooo cute!

With the soakers I have, I have only lanolized once before use, and I didn't wait to make sure they stopped bleeding. I made a black wool wrap that bleeds occasionally if it is really soaked, but just bleeds onto my prefold, so I didn't really care. For me it did not bleed onto ds's jammies. It might be worth asking llamajama about the bleeding, though, to see what they recommend.

I don't lanolize each time I wash...I bought some Eucalan wool wash (no rinse) and with that, I find I hardly ever have to do any extra lanolizing.

Thanks for the info. I have the wool wash too, so I guess I am totally overdoing it with all the extra lanolizing.

Also...I have seen some really cute ones on www.etsy.com too. I wish I started this earlier, but I was scared of wool v:
