paraben free?

Thread Starter
I avoid parabens in the products I buy for me & DH (can I remember why? no). Are there paraben-free baby cream/lotion/sunblock that you like, recommend for baby? A friend started off with a lot of Burts Bees for her newborn but found them lacking and switched to regular drugstore stuff. California Baby doesn't advertise as paraben-free. I don't want to be obsessive but I read something from a trusted source that convinced me it's worth trying to minimize the parabens. Then again I don't want to spend a fortune on stuff that doesn't actually work!

ETA I'd done a search on parabens and didn't see much in past threads but then just looked at the one below on shampoo and found cosmeticsdatabase.com.

You might check out cosmeticdatabase.com for product safety ratings. Not parabens specifically but other potentially toxic ingredients. They have a section for baby products including sun lotions.

Use of sun lotions on babies is debated. There are lots of related discussions on MDC.

Do you have a store like Wild Oats or Whole Foods or Sunflower market? How about a Wegman's with a "natural" section? They should have an assortment of paraben-free lotion and sunblocks.
