(I know this is an older thread, sorry!) Does anyone know if this is still the case, and if it's still being manufactured, what's the chance of a US doctor ordering it from Rouvax?

If it's not licensed for use in the USA (and I don't think it is or someone would have thought of it), pretty much zero.

From my understanding, there is no separated MMR vaccine available for use in the US. The manufacturers were losing too much money having people pick and choose which ones they wanted, so they stopped offering it separately.

I found this-guess they plan to make a separate vax again.

Actually, Merck has since retracted that. They announced in October that they would no longer make the seperate vaxes.

Merck reversed their decision to make separate doses once again, just recently. If you go to the Dr. Sears Vaccine Book homepage, he blogs about the change there.

As of now, you can [B]no longer[B] get the MMR in separate components. Your only choices are to skip the vaccine, delay the vaccine, or wait awhile to see if Merck (yet again) changes their minds.

I would wait until he's 18 and then he can make the decision for himself.
These are treatable childhood illnesses which aren't common anyway so certainly no hurry.
