Anyone have allergy to whey?

I can drink milk,and eat cheese well a few,drink yougrt and kifer just fine......


I used to always drink a whey protein shake just fine.......

When ever I do now my lips and mouth feel very itch and slightly swollen,I get panicky and feel like I cant breath.......I have tried many diffrent brands all do the same ...........I also noticed the mozzerella string cheese does the same darn thing

DS1 has an allergy to whey, but not exclusively. He's also allergic to casein. His is IgE, I'm not certain if yours would be that or IgG.

With the itching and breathing I want to say IgE. Whey and Casein are both proteins in milk so you definately have the potential to be allergic to either one or both. Mozzarella is a softer cheese so it would have more Whey in it then a harder cheese I think.
