Vax given despite refusal?

Edit-- NEVERMIND! My OP was incorrect...she came to tell me that they DID go get the tetanus shot, but when she did, she found out that the hospital had given her daughter Hep B despite her having refused it. She's wondering what she can do?

I wouldn't worry. as long as the wound bleeds you're fine. Horses aren't known for their pointy teeth, so you don't have a puncture wound as much as a bludgeon wound.

I have been bitten by a horse (that broke skin) once, on my shoulder. It was more of a scrape then anything. I am unvaxed. FWIW.

I would be more concerned about the horse biting. We have 2 rules in the barn, wear a helmet and if a horse bites you have 5 seconds to kill them with your bare hands. Foals to the old farts, you bite me, I will try to kill you.

well then they gave her more then tetanus. she got the diphtheria & whooping cough too.

I heard a rumor about not having a separate tetanus vax anymore?

I stopped keeping up with it all. It makes me ill.

Yeah, the DTaP was today. The Hep B was when she was born. Really, no more separate tetanus? Great....
