how long for first PPAF

I'm sure this is a question that is asked a lot, but is 25 months pp a long time to not have my period? Should I be a little worried? Dh and I don't use any birth control and ds still nurses a lot, but am I a little weird? I'm not worried, but I would like to get pregnant again and wonder if I should go to the doctor or something.

TIA for any advice!

katie,
i just started my first PPAF at 28 months PP. i was getting very worried too because it seemed like longer than any stories i'd heard of PPAF staying away. My dd nurses a lot so i think that's why it took so long for her to return but i was sure making myself crazy. i hope she returns for you soon! that limbo of not knowing what's going on and continuously convincing myself i was pregnant was so tough.

That does make me feel better. My AF has always been really sensitive. It took me a long time to get it back after I stopped the pill. We'll see. I just don't want to keep getting excited thinking I am pregnant when I'm not! My ds nurses a lot, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Who thought the day would come when I'd be GLAD to get my AF? Ha, ha!

:LOL i know! i feel like the biggest dork for getting so excited over this! it's sooo frustrating not knowing. i convinced myself sooo many times that i *must* be pregnant and that i was having all the symptoms. then i'd test, BFN, of course, and i'd be ok for a few weeks or a month and then i'd start thinking i was pregnant again, or the last test was wrong. i've had a lot of 'that must be a baby kicking' gas

again, i hope she comes soon for you!

hi all. i am a nursing mother and i am still nursing my 8 mo old. i havent gotten AF back yet either and we aren't using any birth control. i thought i was wierd for not getting AF back at 8 mo PP, but i see that it is normal.... i too have thought i felt a bay kicking.....even took a pg test to find it be negative. we arent TTC but not preventing it either....
