Breastfeeding in a Disaster

I apologize if this has already been discussed. I do not see it.

Looking ahead to World Breastfeeding Week, my taskforce is looking for real stories of moms who breastfed during a disaster situation. I am googling my brains out. I was wondering if any of you already know where some of these stories might be? No sense in reinventing the wheel! Thanks!

There was this family stranded in the snow for 11 days (in a car) the husband died out looking for help, but the Mom kept her baby and 4 year old alive by nursing them both for 11 days.

Here is a link to the story

I saw a tv show about the story that Smoothiemom is talking about. It was an amazing story....

I remember post-Katrina news coverage on National Public Radio included an interview with a grandmother whose daughter (or DIL?) and newborn grandchild were in a shelter. The baby was brand-new, and the grandmother specifically said, "Thank God she is breastfeeding!" due to concerns about water, sanitation, supplies, etc.

I would google or use a news-only search engine to search "Katrina breastfeeding" and see what comes up.
