any thoughts or experiences with this?

how about quinoa?

i hate to pare down my diet to only rice, but i'm starting to wonder whether the hot buckwheat i'm having for breakfast every day isn't preventing ds's eczema from clearing completely.

buckwheat is a seed and does sometimes cause a reaction (ANY food can cause a reaction, even rice for my DS). Both my kids are sensitive to quinoa.

Yes- anything can be allergenic. It's different for everyone. Here, buckwheat is the only tolerated grain. DD reacts to both quinoa and rice (among others.)

Yep, as other said anything can be an allergen. We just had ELISA tests done and buckwheat was the only Moderate on DS's tests. Why, I have no idea, but I'll just avoid it for now. Luckily it's not an ingredient in a lot of foods, unlike dairy, wheat and soy.

If you think it may be contributing I would cut it out for a couple weeks at least.

My dd can't do seeds, including buckwheat. When I realized she was reacting to it, I also cut quinoa which we ate periodically. She does tolerate millet, though.
