I had my baby a week ago! His name is Silas, and he was born on March 18 after 12 hours of labor... he weighed 8 lb 15 oz and was 21 inches long.
My CNM was out that day with a family emergency so the birth was attended by an OB whom I laid eyes on for the very first time when I went in to have my progress checked (I was at 7cm at that point, hooray!) .
: And stupid little me didn't have a birth plan... still, the things I didn't like about the experience are pretty minor in the long run, but it would've been a better one had my CNM been there...
Silas is nursing like champ - he was already up to 9lb 2 oz on his fifth day!
