I've been planning on trying an ED or TED after Easter for the entire family...The thought occured to me maybe I don't really *need* to do one since the list of food he can eat is pretty good (not amazing but good)...My only concern is with only a limited amount of foods, I might be making some deficiencies occur...
His current list he can eat includes
Farmland Foods Ground Pork and Boneless Pork Chops
Smart Chicken Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breasts
Hormel All Natural Bacon and All Natural Deli Ham
Canned Pumpkin and Beets
Apples (This is an iffy one...He gets a contact rash from the juice of the apple on his neck)
Beets
Carrots
Grapes
Squash
Melons (Cantaloupe and Honeydew)
Sweet Potatoes
Potatoes
Peaches and Pears (does not like these though but he will eat them on a rare occasion)
Mango and Grape Juice
I recently tried quinoa flakes I found in the store and wow, his breath was horrible...I tried it with honey, maple syrup and then plain and each time same result so I'm not sure on that one...Buckwheat is a big no due to the overflowing diaper of grossness (that happened to stain my poor carpet)...
Other known allergies/intolerances are rice, eggs, dairy, wheat, peas, green beans, navy/northern beans (I’d assume all beans are a no because of this), soy, goat’s milk, barley, oats, kiwi, strawberries...Also, this could possibly include coconut oil, cocoa, corn and ground beef...I've removed as much corn as possible...He eats no beef or products with cocoa whatsoever...
Coconut oil needs a better test...I bought the Spectrum brand but since it could be potentially contaminated, I need to find a brand that would give me better results...I usually cook his chicken in coconut oil and each time he's gotten a rash around his mouth...
I haven't tried EVOO as of yet...I need to find a brand to try that is real EVOO and not some fake stuff...I did try safflower oil and it seems to be ok...
I'm working on acquiring some hemp milk and millet to add to his diet (and pray he's not intolerant of them as well)...In addition, he's trialing salmon tonight and then broccoli in a few days so I don't get odd results...
I guess the sum it up question to all this rambliness is - Is it possible to eat this minimal of food? Would supplements be a necessary thing? I'm not really good with this food thing...This is the healthiest I've eaten in my entire life LOL...I will be adding more things in eventually, but I just want to get to a point and adapt before trying to toss new things in...I'm beginning to dislike food and shopping for food as well...This state isn't big on health food apparently so my shopping for odd things will have to be online, hence my frustration...
Thanks y'all if you made it through that entire rambling post...
