Hi all,
my husband and I moved from the US to New Zealand last year, and are expecting our first baby in 6 weeks (yikes!). I'd like to follow Dr Sears alternative vaccine schedule, more or less, but am running into trouble with figuring out a way to do this here. The big issue is that the national health system is responsible for importing and providing medicine, and they often have only one or two brands of something available. Since they also run the vaccine program, very few vaccines besides the standard ones (giant hexa-valent ones with tons of aluminum) are available -it probably doesn't make sense for the manufacturers to go through the licensing process when the market will be minuscule. Technically, however, there is a way for a GP here to administer medicines not licensed in NZ, and my GP seems ok with doing that.
Does anyone have experience importing vaccines from the US or elsewhere to foreign countries? I understand the import regulations will differ from country to country, but I imagine some of the logistics are the same. How much do vaccines even cost?
Any information/feedback would be much appreciated!

:. Had I not read this book of this "cranchy" (or so I thought) doctor that I trusted at the time I would have put my more research into the subject from get-go which would most likely would spare me from life long regret about partually vaccinating our first child (before I knew any better). My advice to you is to research vaccines youself REALLY good and throw the darn Sears book in the garbage (where it belongs to
