What is this pain in my UU??

I go on reg chiro visits for sciatica and all the other stuff that ails the pg body, but the last few visits have not helped this pain I have.

Its centered right in the middle of my butt cheek on either side, not on the outer part, but more towards the center of each.

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, I never go early......any ideas?

Is it really, really deep, and sharp? Do you notice it more at certain times, or after certain activities?
I have a pain that is somewhat like what you describe. I used to get it if I was over tired, had been on my feet excessively, etc. Then it just came and went through my first pregnancy. Nothing really helped it, I just had to learn to deal with it. This time, is hasn't been so bad though.

Good luck - I hope it gets better for you soon!

Um, the pain you are describing is the definition of sciatica. Middle of your butt, deep and sharp....yep, that's it. May or may not go down into your legs or radiate to your lower back.

Chiro visits didn't do that much for me either long term, but I went for different reasons (tmj mostly).

here's another good photo that represents a common pain pattern:

ok, yeah those diagrams def seem to show what I'm feeling, thanks!
I've always had the outer pain, not the inner one, so it kind of threw me off. To bad the chiro won't help, I'm having trouble chasing kids *lol*

I have sciatica bad!!! I'm 37.5 weeks. the chirco doesn't stopit. but if i go regularly it helps everythign else which seems to make less pressure on that area. I think at this point, unless the chiro could take the baby out and hold it for me for a while, he isn't goign to give me but so much relief

I think things are so loose right now do to relaxin, that my pelvis is very wiggly. I'm glad for this b/c it gives me plenty of room to birth! but it does mean it puts a lot of pressure on that nerve - especially after a day of walking around or doing chores!
