Feeling crampy :(

Ah, the power of suggestion. I read the "what do contractions feel like?" yesterday ... and woke up this morning with crampy like pain. It does seem to come and go but I am purposely not timing them.

It wouldn't be so bad, except ... I'm moving this Saturday. Old house is a mess, new house is not set up with furniture yet.

And I'm only 36 weeks, so I wouldn't be able to birth at home with my MW anyway (licensed, we need to wait until 37 weeks).

If I were 37 weeks, I'd just enjoy it and go for long walks/unpack a lot etc.

I hate worrying!

Try not to worry! I think the power of suggestion is huge---for example, if I read an article about dentistry, I'm immediately convinced that I've got cavities and all my teeth start to hurt.

Could they just be BH and you're noticing them more because of what you've read?

Could you have a friend come over to help you pack/clean so you can put your feet up, drink some tea, and and just relax?

Best wishes!

Since you're only 36 weeks, I'd try really hard to slow down your activity level which I realize is near impossible when you are moving. Can you get some help?

Thanks guys!

I felt much better after drinking almost half a gallon of water. I slow down on drinking water in the evening (because I wake up enough as it is!) so when I wake up in the morning I'm extra dehydrated.

I've been surfing + packing up the kitchen, but leaving the heavy boxes where I put them. Hubby can move them this evening.

Now no more cramping, but the baby has been doing this rhythmic pulsing that is strange. Not hiccups, not kicking ... I don't know

My hubby has been amazing. Puts in a full day of work and then comes home and makes multiple trips to the new house.

He'd be very ok if I didn't' do any packing ... but ... yesterday I napped all afternoon and then stayed up until 1 am surfing and reading. So, he was kinda peaved that I *could've* gotten something done and didn't. Especially when he worked so hard. If I had gone to sleep at a reasonable hour, he would not have minded. If that makes sense.

My hubby's family is coming up this weekend to move/clean, but my hubby wants to get as much done as possible before they come. I can take it easier than he is, but I feel some unspoken pressure to at least throw things into boxes.

I do feel better. Amazing what water and food will do

I'm glad it stopped. Doing too much and not drinking enough water can cause cramps at that point in pregnancy. Take it easy, you're almost there!

Thanks guys!

I feel better. I did take it easy. Too easy, I think. My DH and his family moved us and cleaned our old apartment. I barely even took care of my daughter My MIL spent time reading her a lot of books while I sat with a rice sock on my back. Oh well. If they think I'm a lazy bum, so be it

The house is 90% unpacked. We have a handful of boxes and pictures to put up. My husband wants to reorganize the storage area - but he is welcome to take on that project by himself.

And, I'm now 36w5d. Sooooo even if something were to happen now, I feel much more comfortable with it. I'm even starting to enjoy the BH ctx ... get my uterus in shape!

And, I'm sure after all this discussing I'll be posting in a month about being worried about going past 42 weeks
