I have heard it all!!!

So while dh and me were discussing circ. last not (other thread) he told me the most ridiculous story and I just had to share!!!
His moms physical therapist knows someone who had a son and he was not circ. He never knew there was anything different about him until he was talking with friends at school. Found out that his penis was different than all his friends and wanted to have it circ to be like the other guys. But he was too embarrassed to get help and ended up killing himself bc he was circ!!!!

Someone please tell me you have heard this before too...It sounds like old wives tale to me!!!! I have never heard something so ridiculous. I seriously laughed at him for thinking that would even be true!!!

I have only heard of one story which circ was botched, they later performed this surgery to look like a girl. They guy killed himself.

...from being intact? that's just bull

: That was such a sad story He had a twin and because of his botched circ he was turned into a girl while his twin brother was left alone. When he found out what had happened he couldnt handle it and ended his own life.

By the way almost 50% of boys in the USA are intact now so the odds are pretty even in the locker room depending on where you live. Some places have a near 90% intact rate while others have a pretty low intact rate. But no matter where you look the intact rate is RISING not falling.

So yeah your MIL pulled that one outta her : as a pp said.

I have actually heard a story like this, but it was in HS one of those urban legends.

The 'lunch table' (you know how HS is) found out my then BF was intact and began asking a ton of questions, I had no clue because A. We hadn't been there yet and B. I come from a girl family and had never really even seen a penis live and in person!

anyways one of the other boys asked him when he was going to have his circed (because obviously everyone HAS to have it done and he would too eventually ) he said 'never' and that story ensued about how girls don't like intact guys and he had better do it or he will be so lonely and differnent he will kill himself

how dumb.

Even if this one anecdotal story were true it is not a valid reason to circ. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find a story about a large breasted girl who killed herself because she was harrased. Is this a reason to routinely remove the breast buds of little girls?

About the botched circ and loss of penis - there have been several documented cases

I've heard the opposite stories about being the only cut boy and being ashamed and teased and needing therapy. Which I can see happening in Europe and other places, considering the world intact stats.
