Anyone else just not that hungry?

Im 34 weeks now and I was expecting to have an insatiable appetite by this point. Instead I feel like Im less hungry than I was 2-3 months ago. I dont even eat my second breakfast anymore. And Im not really craving anything, except maybe fruit. Im worried that Im not eating enough for baby. Does this seem normal? Anyone else not really that hungry?

I'm really not either.

I've almost stopped eating 'meals' and moved on to a series of snacks. I guess its better for you anyways to eat more light meals.

I have been craving the pants off a salad : and french fries.

The only true cravings I had was early on. I could eat one thing and that was it. Whatever I was craving. If I even thought about another food item I barfed.

I thought the cravings were for the 'more' pregnant women too!

I've had lousy appetite this whole pregnancy. Food still seems unappealing and even gross.

That said, often, once I start eating, I'll Hoover it all up like I haven't eaten in weeks.

My sweet husband has been dealing with dinners because I'm so uninterested in food that I can't get good ideas for cooking. I don't complain about what he makes (nothing to complain about except everything is something I don't like) because, again, usually once I start eating I'll eat. As long as I don't have to think about it much.

It is pretty common to have no appetite as there is less room internally.

Some days I am, some I'm not. I've not been able to eat much this pregnancy. Noticed my appetite getting bigger recently, but there's just not enough room in there to do much about it.

There's no room in there for food anymore! I only ate half my dinner last night and I'd served myself a normal portion. If I do eat a whole dinner I spend a while trying not to throw up, not out of nausea, just no room. Looking forward to baby dropping, but second time around that might not happen til the very end.

Some days I could care less about eating, other days I have little cravings. It doesn't really take much to satiate those though. I am the queen of "eyes bigger than her stomach" these days. I'll take a regular portion of food and then only be able to eat a small amount of it.

I've lost at least 5 pounds due to decreased appetite.

Reduced stomach capacity here, too! It's definitely not too early for any of us - welcome to the third trimester, mamas!

Now that I've got less room, I am having trouble with filling up on junk. I have to do better!

Yep. I went to the midwife on MOnday and had lost 4 lbs since the last appt 2 weeks ago. She was completely unconcerned and said it's normal to lose a little in the 3rd trimester due to decreased appetite.

Same here; I've been worried I'm not eating enough for this little one, but I'm still gaining some weight and my husband's observation is that if I need more food, my body will tell me. I know I'm running out of room quickly these days, too; it's amazing just how little room there is now, and we still have two months to go, eep!

I'm chiming in to say I'm there too--not much of an appetite and I'm sure it's because of the lack of space in my belly! I never have much of a huge appetite while pregnant but after the baby is born and my milk comes in I eat like a total hog, lol!

I've noticed a decrease in appetite too. Unless it is something I'm really excited about eating, I eat, but its not like I'm really 'into eating'. I think it makes it easier to eat healthy cause I'm not craving the crappy stuff. I did the grocery shopping tonight and it was a very healthy shop. My 'junk' food lately has been a bowl of sweet cereal, but thats about as bad as it has been lately.

I haven't been that hungry this whole pregnancy. First tri I was just nauseous and then that let up, but I still wasn't hungry. I ate, but it was out of duty more than anything. I eat now, but it's rather boring and I'm glad when it's over.

People keep asking me what cravings I've been having and I can't say I've had any, other than 1 day a few weeks ago I really wanted a chocolate croissant so I gave into that even though I've been mostly gluten free.

Me too!! I've been so frusterated because I have to make myself eat. I'm very concerned about getting enough protein and nutrition so I have the best chance not to get pre-e again. But there is just no room in there. I've only gained 4 lbs in the last 3 months. I actually try and eat some high cal meals now and again to try and make up for it.

I'm excited to be nursing two and ravenous again

I don't have much appetite, but I find myself snacking a lot, anyway. This happens to be the time I really pack on the pounds, I gain hardly anything in the first seven months, then WHAM! It's like, I just keep eating, even if I don't want to. I have started avoiding drinks with calories though, as I had been having a juice a lot... So, I keep it to one or two glasses of milk a day, and just water.
