Just found out that SIL is having a boy

My SIL is pregnant with her first and just found out today it is a boy. While I am incredibly excited for her (I love having a son!) my second immediate thought was, "Oh crap" when I realized that circumcision is now an issue. Her fiance comes from a family with 4 boys and his brothers have boys. All circumcised. So I am probably fighting a losing battle. Also her fiance is definitely the "boss" in the relationship, she pretty much defers to him on everything. Either way I have to at least try. So I am hoping someone can give me some info to send her, but I need it to be straightforward and concise or I know she won't bother reading it. Maybe like 50 reasons not to circumcise or something like that. Her fiance is a real macho guy so appealing to emotions probably won't make a difference to him. Thanks for any help!

Those look like exactly what I was thinking!

My DH says I shouldn't even bother because SIL's fiance makes all the decisions anyways. He thinks that I will just get future BIL upset with me. Is it really so wrong to send some internet links? Like I said, most likely it won't make a difference but I won't be able to live with myself if I don't at least try.

Oh, forgot to add, she comes from a family where no one circumcises. DH's family is Greek and they don't do it (it's his sister). Our son is uncircumcised and she has been around him and changing his diapers when he was a baby so this isn't something she is unexposed to. She just has no backbone when it comes to her fiance. I really like the Q & A one, it sounds like it is written to the man so I am hoping she will get him to read it. I am not going to send it yet, they just found out today so I don't want to appear overzealous. I will wait a couple of weeks (she is almost 20 weeks so they have time to think over it).

What about getting them the Penn and Teller episode of Bullsh!t on circumcision? It's got lots of crude humor and sex toys and sex jokes, so it appeals to people who like that kind of thing, but it's got a serious message as well. She may be able to get him to watch it where he might not be willing to read stuff.
