Anyone read "Milk, Money, and Madness: The Culture and Politics of Breastfeeding"?

I just started it and so far I love it!

I read it two or three years years ago and was appalled at some of the tactics used to promote "formula" (for which there is no real formula). Required reading for all pregnant women and their significant others, IMNSHO.

Yes! THis book is amazing...it's the book that convinced me I had to find a way to become a WIC peer helper. Seriously a wonderful book. Didn't you find the pictures of the twins the craziest thing you've ever seen? I still think about this picutre and I read it 3 years ago!

I actually posted that picture in a myspace blog!

The more I read, the more I love breastfeeding

I am intrigued by the Roman Charity painting depicting the daughter breastfeeding her father after he was imprisoned and sentenced to death by starvation.

I haven't yet gotten to the part where WIC and what not is discussed.
