HE Miele washer and dipes?

We got a new Miele washer, and I am still trying to figure out the best way to wash cloth diapers in it. Help! I really wish I had my old top loader with knobs.

I do a dry pail, try to scrape the poo off, but no sprayer or anything. I think they need more water than they are getting in the machine. What is the best way to get them rinsed well, before and after?

Thank you!

Lucky You

We used to have a Miele washer in our old house. I loved it. In four years of cloth diapering I'd never heard of stripping, we never had a single issue with stink, and not one of our diapers was stained. I used to take laundry from family that was supposedly stained and it would come clean in the Miele... even after having gone through the drier.

I used Persil soap (which was recommended for use with the Miele, but I've never seen it mentioned on any of the diaper washing soap review charts so I don't actually know if it's considered okay). I set the machine to do a prewash plus a regular wash, and set the wash cycle to be the hottest one (I think it was 95 degrees celsius).

One thing I like about the Miele is that you can get it to do just about anything you want. We have an LG with a dial now, and although a monkey can operate it, it isn't nearly as flexible.

We're still settling in after a move, and DD has started pottying - I think part of the problem is that they are sitting too long, waiting for a decent size load. She isn't yet progressed enough to do any kind of training pants, but is using less dipes. We use prefolds and some pocket diapers.

I'm also not sure about the amount of soap we're using - I'm using just a tiny bit of country save, less than a 1/4 scoop (probably a tsp or two)

But I do know that after I ran the dipes yesterday, using a no-heat wash cycle to rinse all the poo off, and then a separate hot (but not sanitize cycle - I think the sanitize may be too hot for the synthetic dipes), wash with heavy soil and extended length, and sensitive ( I guess extra rinse?), they still stunk when they came out of the dryer.

At this point, I think it is user error rather than the machine. But I need to get the dipes clean and not have all that time in the washer be a waste, not to mention the water and energy. What am I doing wrong?
