expired fertility drugs.

Okay so I am on Menopur, which I've talked about in another thread. I had some from when I was TTC DD but it's about 6 months expired. I wonder what happens to it. Does it just lose it's potency? At what rate?
I hate to know what I have 15 vials of a very expensive drug just expired in my house!

I don't know anything about this, just wanted to suggest calling a pharmacy or dropping into one and asking to look at their great big drug book yourself.

It starts to lose its potency over time. I used expired menopur last fall (about 2 months expired) and I stimmed just fine. My dr told me to use it and if I didn't seem to be stimming well, to order some new menopur and have it overnighted. I'm not sure how much potency is lost over time and how long it takes for it to not work at all.

Always check with your RE. I used expired meds for a cycle without issue. I have also donated my expired and unused meds for others to who had no insurance and they had twins with my meds!
