I'm new to babywearing and so far only have used my sleepy wrap for my 2 month old. The more I use it, the better I get at it and i'm becoming addicted to this babywearing stuff so now i'd like to broaden my horizons and try new carriers! Someone local is selling there used ERGO for $80 with the newborn attachment. Is this a good price? Should I go for it? Or is this not a good carrier for beginners?

I would get it! Ergo is easy to use, so definitely good for beginners. I'm not sure how good it would be for a 2 month old, but certainly you'll get plenty of use out of it for the next few years.
New, the non-organic version's sell for $105 plus like $20 for the infant insert, so if it's in good condition, I'd say $80 is a decent price. Just make sure you love the color, since you'll probably be using it often.

The Ergo is great in that you can use it up to the weight limit (35lbs I think). My 2 1/2 yo still rode in mine on occassion when his little brother was born.
I personally am not a fan of the Ergo business itself since they basically screwed over some WAHMs, but if you're buying used you aren't supporting them! And that is a great price.

That sounds like a good deal!
I love love love my Ergo. I wore my ods until he was 2.5. I would have been comfy going longer but I was pg and my belly got too big!
I started using it with my yds right away.
I think the Ergo is perfect for newbies because it is so simple to adjust, and you just snap it on rather than worrying about tying and wrapping. It is also really nice if other people in your life want to use it. I think just about everyone in my family has used our Ergo!
